Nothing Like Me is a book that details the journey of a woman's life. It is my life, your life, and the life of every woman you know. Its purpose is to enrich and bond women’s lives through similarities, despite our efforts to not identify with each other.
I hope to promote a different level of thinking within our sisterhood. If my thoughts and testimony encourage women to share and care, as opposed to gossip and judge, my mission has been accomplished. I pray this book will foster an environment for women to give and support one another, gain friendships, engage in adult conversation, handle life’s pressures with style and grace, re-focus our thinking, overcome fears, increase self worth, give hope, promote pride, share laughter, and motivate anyone who reads this book to maximize their potential.
It addresses women’s needs as individuals and revolve around honesty, real-life struggles and accomplishments, but most importantly give us a new perspective on life and making better choices. I want to give women hope and inspiration when dealing with difficult situations, and add humor to some of our worst moments ever – for laughter heals the soul.
It is enhanced with my personal testimony, real-life struggles, humor and lots of tough love. It starts with our birth and walks with us until death. It is the dose of personal growth we all need. It will help the men in our lives understand what we have been trying to tell them for years. It will help them see the world through our eyes, and give them the secret to help them become the man every woman wants.
It will make you respect the woman you never acknowledge, and in return someone will do the same for you. It disciplines us for our wrongdoings, but gives us the tools to do better. It encourages us to rise from any valley we may face - because we can. It is the key to every relationship we encounter. It will help you find the good in good-bye. It defines us. It is the anthem for all women. It will change the way you perceive yourself, others, your past, and as a result change your future.
The thing about women is we are capable of so much more than we think we are. Anything can be a miracle, a blessing, or an opportunity if we choose to see it that way. The difference is perception. Know that no matter where you are in life today, your choices will make it relevant to where you will be tomorrow.
When we see obstacles for what they are, we realize our goals are still achievable - but we must take a different route. Once we realize our worth and potential, our life is filled with endless possibilities. Upon completion of Nothing Like Me, you should see yourself in every woman you know - and be changed from the inside out.

This is the type of book that makes you go through every emotion. Its filled with an abundance of knowledge. Witty,Real and Funny are words to describe this book. Nothing Like Me makes you reflect on life. Although this book is written from a womans point of view it's a book for everyone. Honestly, It might even be beneficial for a man to read this book. I was referred to Rose Chase Smith's book by a friend and I am so happy I had the opportunity to share in her very personal, honest, funny and extremely moving journey. What a great gift! She shares amazing life lessons and and I loved her direct style and tough love. The book made me laugh, but more than that it made me take a true step back and think about the important relationships in my life - and relationships with those that have passed - and really force me to reevaluate past choices, actions and think about the choices I will make in the present and going forward.
Nothing Like Me is a beautifully written, honest, funny book about a woman's journey that is sure to resonate deeply with anyone who reads it.
Nothing Like Me is a wonderfully written debut book by author, Rose Chase Smith. This book is cleverly written in Acts (like a play)as opposed to chapters and each act covers a monumental time period in a woman's life. Dirty Thirties, Fabulous Forties, etc. It takes us from birth to facing and dealing with mortality. The author shares intimate details of her life in order to help the reader feel comfortable exploring theirs. She is sharp, straight forward, and witty while her compassion and spirituality exudes! I read my copy in one sitting and even read aloud to my teenagers and husband. If you have ever felt let down, disappointed, afraid, in love, in lust or in a mess, this book is for you! Nothing Like Me is just like us all. Bravo to the author on her debut and I look forward to many more!
